Laminar

A matroid is laminar if there is a laminar family $\mathcal A$ of subsets of $E$ (any two members are disjoint or nested) with capacities $c(A)$ such that a set $I$ is independent exactly when $|I \cap A| \le c(A)$ for every $A \in \mathcal A$. Copied from polyDB (LAMINAR).
