Transversal

A matroid is transversal if there is a family of subsets $A_1,\dots,A_k$ of $E$ whose partial transversals are exactly the independent sets. A partial transversal is a set of distinct elements chosen from distinct $A_i$, one element from each. Copied from polyDB (TRANSVERSAL).
